Small Business owners, Johan and Loela, have a passionate calling to encourage and support fellow artists, their families, and artistic communities, locally, nationally and internationally and particularly in developing countries. As the owners of two Texas art galleries and specialty gift stores (The Escape in Georgetown, TX and ArtEscape.com – an online art store), this dynamic duo represents roughly 200 or more artists at any point in time.

We specialize in handmade, unique and well curated arts and crafts in any media and work closely with artists in the USA, abroad and especially in developing countries so they can be self-sustainable. We stand for “PURCHASE WITH PURPOSE” and therefore many of our artist lines we carry have direct connections to programs like: eco-friendly products, providing fresh water, planting trees, work for single moms, provision of care packages, support of orphanages and education.
