What to Expect in Your Art Escape® Art Class
Each Art Escape® weekend creative retreat begins on Friday evening over complimentary dessert. You will immediately be immersed in your medium and will be introduced to Artascope Studios, your instructor and other participants while completing your first project. You will end this day inspired, refreshed and eager to begin again Saturday morning. In the evening, take advantage and explore Portland Art’s District and the Old Port, steps from your hotel. Come early on Friday to visit to Portland Head Light and enjoy Maine’s beautiful coastline with us.
Saturday begins early offering a full day of creativity. Work on instructor guided projects and explore projects of your own. There will be an afternoon break to refuel your creative energy with catered lunch at the Artascope Studios and there will be an opportunity to explore the area. At the end of this both relaxing and productive day, you will leave energized and having
gained confidence and knowledge in your craft.
On Sunday morning you will use your new found skills to complete your treasured pieces of art. You will be inspired by your experience as well as your fellow artists as you share your final projects. Your workshop will come to a close at 2pm with a catered lunch at Artascope Studios. You are invited stay at the studio and work on your own until 6pm. When you return home you will bring a sense of renewed enthusiasm and desire to keep creativity alive in your everyday life.

Surrounding Area
Artascope Studios is located in Southern coastal Maine within walking distance of three lighthouses, several beaches and downtown Portland. Arrive early on Friday and take advantage of the surrounding area; explore the islands of the Casco Bay on a ferry boat, take a trolley ride to go to the Portland Head Light, enjoy a walking tour of historical Portland’s Old Port or downtown Portland’s Arts District and experience Portland’s shopping, restaurant and musical offerings.

Dining
Complimentary wine and dessert is served at Artascope Studios on Friday evening. Catered lunches can be purchased for both Saturday and Sunday and will be served at Artascope Studios. Evenings are on your own; choose from a world renowned selection of dining options in Portland.
